cat#    B15HFVB

Multi-Core BALUN, Power Rated at 1500 watts PEP @ 25% duty cycle, and 1000 watts SSB @ 50% duty cycle. Current type BALUN.

HF verticals and verticals on mobiles can require baluns or common-mode isolators.  The B15 HFV BALUN is a BUXCOMM product that fills this purpose, perfectly.  Current flows because there is a voltage difference between two parts of a system along with a return path for the current flow. The path can be actual charges moving through the feed-line and radiating conductors, therefore the B15HFVB may be installed as a BALUN, or as an UNUN at the base of, or near the antenna.  The purpose of the Output PL259 and Coax link is to enable the user to remove the PL259, and split the Coaxial cable and use as symetrical (BALUN) feed instead of Asymetrical UNbalanced feed.  The option of the user.

RF currents tend to follow the shield of the coax or feed-line back into the Ham Shack, and bite us when we least expect it, in the form of RF bites (burn), hum, or noise.  PoweRated for 1500 watts SSB.  In addition, we have added a ground lug at the input of the BUXCOMM HFVB to accept a connection from the vertical antenna radial ground system.  This adds to the antenna performance while reducing the noise components ingressed by surrounding electrical appliances, etc.

*Style and color may vary.    Performance per above specs.
