BuxComm B1CI21 is our Dual-ferrite core, current type, 2:1 BALUN. 1.5 to 55 Mhz
Multi-Core BALUN, Power Rated at 1000 watts PEP @ 25% duty cycle, and 800 watts SSB @ 50% duty cycle. Current type BALUN.
The BUXCOMM B1CI21 is most often used with horizontal Loops and antennas having approximately 100 ohms impedance at the feed point.
We use solid brass terminal posts to enable good RF, electrical, and mechanical connections between the BALUN and the antenna wire. Ring terminals are silver plated bronze to prevent oxidation caused by dissimilar metal contact.
The Eyebolts are for BALUN and antenna wire suspension ONLY. Stainless Steel or iron eyebolts and some copper antenna wire will oxidize or corrode due to dissimilar metal contact. Be sure to seal all terminals with Coax Seal Cat # CS 104.
