The USB to serial port adapter from Dayton Audio allows you to overcome the connectivity issues associated with using RASCAL, TNC, KPC, KAM and other computer devices without serial comports.

Attach the adapter to the DB-9 serial input of your device and attach a USB cable (included) between the PC and adapter, your peripheral device will operate like before.  Connection is made much easier supporting plug-n-play and hot-swap operation.  The adapter is compliant with USB 1.1 and 2.0 specifications, Windows 98 SE/ME/2000/XP, and Mac OS 8.6 or greater. Power is provided by the USB bus for added convenience.  A driver disk is included with each BUXCOMM USBSC1, USB to serial port adapter.  Note: It may be necessary to upgrade legacy device drivers to match the operating system on your computer.
