This parallel fan dipole is a multi-band HF fan dipole designed to operate in the 3.0 to 30 mHz HF spectrum.   It's a great performer, and an ideal, limited space antenna, at only 41 feet long.  The BUXCOMM "330PhanDipole_TM" is constructed of top quality components, wire, BALUN, and insulators.

The BUXCOMM 330PhanDipole_TM antenna can be installed as a pair of horizontal, or vertical, dipole antennas that provide exceptional performance in the 3.0 to 30 MHz range. The 330PhanDipole is a pair of forty feet dipoles in a "fan" configuration fed by a special BALUN.  In some installations, near large metropolition areas, we've had reports that our 330PhanDipole_TM has a better signal to noise figure than other antennas that were previously in use at the same location.

For optimum performance, install the BUXCOMM "330PhanDipole_TM"  25 to 35 feet above ground.  For the MARS operator with limited space,
the BUXCOMM 330PhanDipole_TM can be erected 15 feet high and operated as an NVIS antenna.  An antenna tuner should be used with the BUXCOMM 330PhanDipole_TM.

When the BUXCOMM 330PhanDipole_TM is installed between 12 and 17 feet above ground, the top 40 ft element looks at the lower 40 ft radiator as if it were a reflector.  With the lower element using ground imfluence, it directs the signal in a nearly vertical incedence for a high angle of radiation. In this way the two (2) layers of 40 ft elements compliment one another as a very efficient NVIS antenna.

In addition, the BUXCOMM special BALUN supplied as part of the 330PhanDipole_TM is an ultra wide-band BALUN that has a high attenuation to coax shield currents, that results in further improved signal to noise ratio.
